I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and attention we receive at Vista Winds Assisted Living and Memory Care. From the day we walked in and met Jeff (marketing director), Nora (director), Samantha (nurse) to Chelle, Barbara, all the med techs, front desk, and support staff, everyone has been so helpful and friendly. The care, compassion and patience they provide is beyond believable. My dad is in Assisted Living and my mom is now in Memory Care. The transition was not easy for her but the staff was so reassuring and understanding. After 2 months, she has adjusted well and says she loves it there. They also coordinate well with hospice. I understand this is a totally new staff from when they opened. This is the best facility in Peoria! Every time I visit, I am greeted like I’m family. It truly feels like home.

My father has been a resident in the memory care unit going on 3 years. Many of the past reviews call out poor management and I will concur that the director that was there from August 2023-2024 was terrible! The current director, Jae, knows resident and family members by name. The staff on the Memory care unit are kind, caring and I appreciate all that they do for my father. The Resident Care Coordinator, Dani, follows up on email questions. I don’t think my father cares much for many of the menu choices, but that could be due to his dementia. Family involvement and advocacy is the key to quality care in ANY ENVIRONMENT. I feel for residents who don’t have family living near by to visit them. I would recommend any of the 3 facilities: independent, assisted living or memory care.

The staff is very caring and loving towards the people that they work with the kitchen staff. Is amazing, they are very particular on how they cook the food which makes it taste even that much more better and the managers are pretty understandable reasonable and very helpful towards the members and their staff.

My mother-in-law lived in all three sections of Vista Winds most recently in memory care. I would say the most important aspect to our family, aside from safety and medical, was the genuine care and love provided by the staff. We felt that genuineness from the top down, including the employees who work the front desk. JAE, the director in assisted and memory care, absolutely knows how to hire the right people.

I just want to express how pleased that I am with the level of care that my Mom is receiving from Vista Winds. From our first meetings with Joseph, Marketing Consultant; Donna, Executive Director and Taryn, Director of Nursing, we felt welcomed and knew that my Mom would be in good hands. She has been a resident since March 2023. Every member of her care team has been respectful, thoughtful, kind and competent. I truly cannot say enough good things about Vista Winds. If my Mom calls for help, they come immediately. They make sure that her laundry is done the way that she likes it done. Her room is kept clean. They check on her often to see if there is anything that she needs. When there was a change in her health, Taryn called me immediately. I’ve had previous experiences with Assisted Living facilities and this by far is my best experience. My Mom and I am truly grateful for the care that she is receiving. Thank you all so very much.
