We just moved my 87 year old mother here- I have so many positive things to say about Brookdale East. The staff is very caring. The facility is lovely and smells clean- it's tastefully decorated and the grounds are nicely kept. There are 4 separate "neighborhoods" (that connect together if residents want to stroll around) and in each small neighborhood the residents eat dinner together like a family in a smaller dining room. They give mom her space; just enough care to still feel independent & in control of what she wants. They don't force anything on her that she doesn't want to do and we appreciate that cuz she's feisty lol. Also I'd like to add that despite the nursing shortage going on across the country right now, Brookdale East Mesa appears to be fully staffed at this time which is impressive.
A huge shout out to the Health & Wellness Director Kylie! She is such a great addition to the Brookdale family. Kylie is extremely compassionate, attentive, and very personable. You can truly see in her eyes that she cares about her residents. I am a hospice nurse that visits this facility on a weekly basis multiple times a week, and I’m always thoroughly impressed with her professionalism and her heart.
It’s taking me several years to find the right place for my mother who has dementia. Brookdale East Mesa is working out perfectly. The staff is very attentive and I feel very comfortable knowing my mother is being well taken care of. Travis the Executive Director, is doing an outstanding job running this facility.
I love Brookdale East Mesa. The caregivers on Seaside are amazing. The Med Tech's are great as well and are so caring with the residents. The activities workers are so friendly and whenever I'm there, they include me everytime. The front office ladies are so friendly too. The whole group works together as a team and are the best.
Met Larnell at a function and found him to be very knowledgeable about Brookdale. He is a very good ambassador for the value of the service they provide.
