As an independent RN patient advocate, I needed to find a better environment for a client living in one of the large assisted living facilities. Serendipity came highly recommended, and I quickly saw why. The staff sincerely cares about the residents, and they take the time to get to know them. The home is modern and spacious, and it truly feels like home. The staff is professional and respectful, offering the residents many choices in what they eat and how they spend their time, all while meeting their every need. Every time that I would drop in, I observed the caregivers interacting with the residents. My client was much happier in this type of environment, and it was the best decision we could have made. I recommend them without hesitation.
My mom lived at Serendipity in the Sun II for the last few months of her life, passing very recently. I cannot give enough praise and appreciation for the Sits II team - this is a wonderful place with caring, compassionate and patient caregivers. My mom was a "challenging person" in her final years, and the Sits team took this in stride. Never did I worry that Mom was not being given anything short of the best care and attention possible - something especially important to know given that I live 3,000 miles away.
If you are ever in need of dedicated care in a clean, calming, home-like setting - do not hesitate to go to Serendipity in the Sun II. My only regret is not having moved Mom there earlier than she did.
My husband was at Serendipity in the Sun 11 for 2 years, having just passed away a few weeks ago. He had Parkinson’s Disease.
I couldn’t have asked for a more caring group of caregivers. He (myself and my family) felt part of a family there as well. I was so grateful to have found this home. Because there are only 10 beds, it never felt institutional. It was personal to each resident’s needs. Definitely a 5 star place!!!
My mother was a resident at Serendipity in the Sun just shy of two and a half years, dying peacefully there in August of 2024. When you live on the other side of the country, as I do, you need to feel confident your parent will be in caring, attentive, and professional hands. My mother, who suffered from MS and dementia, had been cared for at larger, more corporate retirement facilities prior to my moving her into Serendipity in the Sun in March of 2022. Realizing she was getting lost in those kinds of places, I wanted a smaller assisted living home where she'd receive more personal attention. I also wanted to relax in the knowledge that she was receiving the best possible care. I got what I was looking for, thanks to Serendipity's excellent caregivers. They always treated my mother with kindness and respect. They were also very attentive when I called to speak to her on FaceTime each day, as she couldn't answer a phone herself. They'd consistently set her phone up on a stand so we could speak. On holidays, they'd sometimes send me cute photos of her in holiday garb. They even sent me a video of them singing "Happy Birthday" to her when I wasn't able to fly out to Arizona myself on her 80th because I'd recently broken my leg. As my mother declined, the owner of Serendipity was responsive when I had questions and concerns, making sure I stayed informed about how my mother was doing when she could no longer speak herself. I'm grateful for the care my mother received at Serendipity in the Sun. I know that at the end of her life, she lived in a clean, beautiful, and peaceful home with caregivers who made sure she was treated with dignity and tenderness. I always felt welcome there. I highly recommend this assisted living home for people who want their loved ones to receive top-notch care.
We are so grateful to have had a safe and caring place for our mother during her final stage of life. We cannot say enough about the professional care and support of the staff during her stay. It was especially comforting to have an RN on duty daily, and the caregivers were always able to help her answer and place calls from us and her friends, in addition to their regular duties. We consider the owners and caregivers to be part of our extended family. The cost for the level of care provided was very reasonable. We wholeheartedly recommend their facility. Scott & Pam Chadwick
