The residents are some of the best people you’ll ever meet. But the staff on the other hand….terrible. The directors are some of the least empathetic people you will ever meet. I have first hand witnessed them calling residents annoying, difficult, and crazy. The residents will fall or have accidents and families aren’t informed or notified. The executive director, Kelly, truly doesn’t care about the residents nor her staff. I truly feel bad for the residents.
I learned about Brookdale from a former next door neighbor who know lives at Brookdale. I use to visit her monthly, so I was already familiar with the community. When I needed some assistance, I moved into Brookdale. I love living at Brookdale, because there is a wide variety of activities. The food is good and the staff is vey helpful. I feel safe.
It has only been 10 days but the staff are pleasant, helpful and have a caring attitude. My family member is in memory care, certainly an adjustment for the person moving in but the nurses have been fantastic, food is on a schedule and is good. The business office is great as well as the front door staff. I would recommend Brookdale PV.
The main thing is, Mom is happy! She is enjoying the care, the variety of social activities, the food, and her apartment. As a daughter, I am relieved and happy to know she is being well looked after, and I can worry less about the day-to-day activities she needs help with. The staff has been very supportive, patient, and welcoming through the whole transition.
Maintenance workers do a great job. Housekeepers are very good. When I was sick, caregivers were there right away to help me. The staff and other residents are very nice. Transportation is very good. They get me to the doctors and take us out to eat and shop. Entertainers at happy hour are wonderful and the exercise classes keep us in shape.
