Solterra assisted living was recently purchased by another company. Since that time they have reduced staff and the quality of their services has declined. They also have had a difficult time passing state inspections. If you are looking to place a loved one in an assisted living facility, please use due diligence when inquiring at this facility.

We may have a slightly different’ take’ on our home here at Solterra. For twenty-five years we lived within a stone’s throw of here. We watched these building being built. As the building went up it was obvious that this was a substantial project and not some shoddy ‘fill in this corner lot’ effort. Shortly after it was opened, we took a tour and were impressed by the layout of the whole facility. We did look at a large number of other opportunities in the area but I think Solterra had become the standard by which we measured each of them. It was not yet our time to move into assisted living but when that time did come some years later there was little question as to what our decision would be. We have been happily living here now for almost three years and have not been disappointed; indeed, we have watched in awe at the management team execute continuous improvement. What was good is now even better. We could probably produce an extensive list of examples but we offer two: - 1. As a retired manager I have taken great pleasure in watching our wellness team take employees, who were already working at an acceptable level, and lead them to personal growth and professional excellence through mentoring and the provision of resources. 2. Last year we had a well presented and reverential observation of Veterans Day. This year the whole management team mounted an observation of Veterans Day that both honored our Veterans, several of whom we are privileged to have here in our community, and demonstrated the intimate relationship we at Solterra share with our local and national representatives. We had the honor of having our Congressman Greg Stanton, the Mayor of Chandler, and other dignitaries join us for the celebration and it was clear that they were happy to be able be with us. In conclusion, we are happy to be here at Solterra of Chandler, we can choose from a huge range of activities daily or just chill out in our comfortable apartment. We have made many friends and this community is filled with interesting people all of whom have interesting stories. This is a tiny part of ours.

The transformation at Solterra at Chandler is AMAZING! There is a “new” team doing magical things for the residents. For a year I have watched the culture, the care, and love for the residents refined by the staff led by Dr Charles. The residents, family members, and visitors all have noticed and commented on the changes. There have been tremendous improvements made in care provided, the food that is served, accuracy of billing, compassion, and activities available. As a result, there have been over 50 residents who have moved INTO Solterra Senior Living at Chandler since May 1, 2023 who are thrilled that they found the NICEST, MOST GENEROUS ALTCS PROVIDER in the east valley. What does that mean? That means people tour, they see the welcoming happy residents who talk with them during the tours, and they move in. This also means that Solterra is almost at capacity and if you want the best experience you should RUN not WALK to Solterra and get an apartment before they are all gone!!

My parents have been here for over a year now and there have been some changes all for the better. I can not overstate how kind and attentive the staff is. Since the new Director Dr Charles Seal-Villafranca has taken over the staffing has increased, they are better trained, and the overall feeling has improved. It is nurturing and kind. I have to acknowledge some exceptional caregivers here Twyla, Carlo, Fermin, Debbie, Shone, Carlos, and Winnie all have been exemplary in their care and concern for my parents. I would highly recommend Solterra of Chandler it is a safe well run facility and my parents are very happy here.

I am sad to have to write such a poor review because Solterra started as such a nice facility. The truth is that the care for my father declined drastically and we were forced to move him to a new facility in the end stages of his life. It became apparent that Solterra was no longer able or willing to provide the care he needed to even remain comfortable. Administration turnover has been significant in the last year with many positions, including a head nurse, remaining vacant for long periods. In the last week my father was at the facility, I visited every night just to ensure that he was being taken care of properly, that is the level of trust I was left with. We eventually moved him to a group home where the staff to resident ratio was much better and the quality of care was greatly improved, it was also more affordable.
