I can’t say enough wonderful things about this memory care community. From the moment we walked through the doors, I felt a sense of peace and comfort — not just for my mom, but for our entire family. The staff is truly exceptional. They are not only professional and attentive but also incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for them — they genuinely care.
The community is always spotless and smells fresh, which is such a testament to the pride they take in maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. It feels like home — cozy, calm, and filled with love. This has made an immense difference in my mom’s transition into memory care. Watching her journey with dementia has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced, but the team here has helped guide me every step of the way. They’ve educated me, supported me, and helped me understand how to show up for her in meaningful ways that make sense to her!
Their patience and understanding go above and beyond, and I truly believe my mom is in the best possible place. I wholeheartedly recommend both their Assisted Living and Memory Care services to anyone looking for reassurance that their loved one will be well cared for, respected, and loved.

We can’t say enough good things about Cedarhurst in Farmington. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful — warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed so it truly feels like home. My mother-in-law was able to make her apartment her own, surrounding herself with her personal belongings and creating a space that was comfortable, familiar, and uniquely hers. That meant so much to our family.
What really sets Cedarhurst apart, though, is the staff. They provided truly compassionate, attentive care during difficult times. They endeared themselves to her and became part of our extended family.
We are deeply grateful for the care, warmth, and support they provided during an important time in our family’s life, and we would absolutely recommend Cedarhurst for anyone needing a supportive senior living community
Hello, Let me start by saying looking for an assistant living facility for family is one of the hardest decisions one will make. I cried when I realized it was time to look at one for my father. I did have an advantage since I am a Paramedic in this area and already knew what my top 3 facilities were. I even picked to tour a place that was: a “not so good” facility. I went to all four places to get prices, meet the staff and the DON. Checking behind the scenes even more than I already do when I pick up patients in my area. After all of that, Cedarhurst outshined all the rest. My father needs an Alzheimer’s locked facility, and he needed assisted living. He did not need a “nursing home”. Cedarhurst sat with my sister and I, gave us the breakdown of care, pricing, outings, physical therapy, Beauty shop, their breakdown of meals served. They were so informative upfront and we meet everyone from each department. My sister and I made the best decision and that was Cedarhurst. My Dad has been here for a year and he is treated like the amazing person he is. I can’t recommend this facility enough. Always, do your own research, and of course meet face to face to any facility you are thinking about. Take the time to write questions before you go in. The staff here will do their best to help you make an informed decision. I hope this helps.
Cedarhurst of Farmington is without a doubt, an Assisted Living community holds a special place in my heart. From the moment I step through the doors, I am overwhelmed by the genuine care and dedication shown by the staff. The Office Manager's words about being the “best in St. Francois County” are not just empty boasts, but a true reflection of the exceptional level of service provided. Each visit to see my friend & join in on a fun activity, fills me with warmth, knowing that they are not only in a beautiful environment, but are truly loved and cared for. This community is more than just a building, it is a beacon of positivity and compassion in St. Francois County.
Cedarhurst is a beautiful place for assisted living and memory care. Feels more like a senior resort. Susan was the first person we met. She was wonderful in assisting us and making it a smooth transition. Amanda, the head nurse in charge, works hard to stay up with every person’s care plan. I’m not even sure how she does it. Not an easy job with so many to keep up with. The PT staff are very empathetic but also encouraging. The guys that work the dining hall work hard to know everyone and interact in the most polite way. On the floor staff have to do what most people won’t. They definitely need a pay raise.
